Let It Begin!

Welcome friends, family, acquaintances and strangers! Here's the story: There's a girl named Melissa who's more than got my fancy. I'd try to explain why she's fabulous, but you'd be reading for longer than you'd like and I should probably be telling her rather than you anyway. Moving on. I'm traveling to Thailand for thirteen days around Christmas to visit my family who lives there. I'm itching to take Melissa along to show her the rad town of little ol' Chiang Rai Thailand where I grew up... this place that is such a significant part of my life. But, alas, I am a poor college graduate feeling the oppressive weight of my student loans, and Melissa remains a poor college student. We need around $1500 and just can't seem to scrounge it up, no matter how many public phones we pillage or couch cushion under-bellies we investigate! But shoot! I can't just give up! I figured there HAVE to be folks who will give $1 at least, maybe even $2, or $5, or $10 or more! How hard could it be to find 1500 people who will give a buck (or more!)?
